BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

SEPTEMBER 27, 2007

 

 

MINUTES

 

 CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The Board of Directors reviewed the minutes of August 23, 2007.  Susan Baldwin motioned to approve.  Shirley Hibbard seconded.  Motion passed unanimously.

 

FINANCIAL REPORT

The financial report for the period ending August 31, 2007 was distributed and discussed:

 

 

Ed Sarrat motioned that no foreclosure action be instigated by the Association through its attorney until 2008. 

 

ARCHITECTURAL REPORT

Ed Sarrat reported that three fences have been approved during the past sixty (60) days.

 

Dave Bellamy reviewed the changes in the legislature, Florida Statute 720, with regards to architectural committee decisions.

 

COVENANT REVIEW COMMITTEE REPORT

Dave Bellamy provided a written report outlining the activities of the committee during the past few months.  David Bellamy explained that the Tiger Point Village Homeowner's Association Bylaws had never been recorded; therefore, the new bylaws can be written and incorporated, clarifying areas of the covenants.  The vote required that the new bylaws would be 50% or 236 lots. 

 

The covenant review committee recommended that a notice of a covenant review meeting be mailed to all homeowners on November 15, 2007, announcing a bylaw approval meeting set up for February 5, 2008.  Ed Sarrat motioned to approve.  Shirley Hibbard seconded.  Motion passed unanimously.

 

COMMUNICATIONS

Dave Bellamy motioned that $50.00 be spent to purchase larger letters for the information board.  Shirley Hibbard seconded.  Motion passed unanimously.

 

DRAINAGE

Dave Bellamy reported Santa Rosa County has started an engineering study for problem drainage areas in Tiger Point Village.  The County is seeking Tiger Point resident input to gather support for funding. 

 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Susan Baldwin reported emails which have been received on the website.  A few of the emails indicated covenant violations on Tiger Point lots on Willow and Sycamore streets.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

OCTOBER BOARD MEETING

Ed Sarrat motioned that the October Meeting be moved to Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at 3:00 p.m., and that proper notice be posted on the message board and the Association website.  Susan Baldwin seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

 

ADJOURNMENT

The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
